My brother-in-law, Steve Amell, was diagnosed as having ALS in April of 2010. April 2012 he celebrated his 60th birthday and just one month and 10 days later he joined his father and brother in heaven. This journey was not an easy one but, for the courage and positive attitude he exhibited during this battle he waged over those two years, we are all reminded to take time in living, to take in every small miracle and share our love.
ALS SUCKS!
Steve and I decided that this would be Amell's Army team slogan and designed a button pin but our wives didn't approve so after Steve passed I went out and had 100 button pins made for team members to wear if they so desired. They were snapped up so quickly there are only 4 left. YES, ALS does SUCK! It steals life from an individual, usually over two to five years. At this time, there is no cure for this horrible disease.
Please consider walking with us, sponsoring me or being one of our team members. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. I encourage you to get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers involved! Again, at this time, there is no cure for this horrible disease.
